They Overcame | Pastor Mike Cornell | Oceans Unite Okeechobee Campus
Sunday Apr 05, 2026
Sunday Apr 05, 2026
Victory is not achieved by human effort but through the finished work of Jesus Christ, who paid for sin by His blood so that forgiveness, new life, and restoration are possible. The reality of sin, bondage, and brokenness is clear, yet Christ came to give abundant life and to bring freedom where the enemy has brought destruction. What was witnessed stands as evidence that God still saves, heals, and delivers, and that transformation begins not with striving but with surrender to Him. The testimony of the redeemed declares what Jesus has done and confirms that He is still working, calling others to respond in faith. True overcoming comes through the blood of the Lamb, the confession of what He has done, and a life fully yielded to Him without holding onto the old ways. Therefore, the call is to receive what Christ has accomplished and to respond with full surrender, knowing that in Him all things are made new.

The Power of Remembrance | Pastor Mike Cornell | Oceans Unite Okeechobee Campus
Saturday Apr 04, 2026
Saturday Apr 04, 2026
We choose to remember Jesus Christ not casually, but with intention, because He commanded, “Do this in remembrance of Me,” and what we remember shapes how we live. We remember the cost, that He was wounded for our transgressions and bore our sin, so we do not treat the cross lightly or live unchanged. We declare that Christ died for us while we were still sinners, and His sacrifice was not earned but given in love.
We stand in the truth that “It is finished,” that sin has been paid for, and through Him our access to the Father is restored. We respond with repentance, examining our hearts and laying down anything that does not align with what He has already paid for. And because we remember, we will live differently, walking in obedience, forgiveness, and surrender, shaped by the finished work of the cross.

Jesus came as King in humility, fulfilling prophecy, yet many praised Him without truly understanding who He was or what He came to do. The crowds cried “Hosanna,” but their expectations were rooted in temporary relief, while Christ came to bring salvation from sin and eternal transformation. It is possible to worship Jesus with our lips while still misunderstanding His nature, especially when our faith is shaped by what we want rather than who He is. True discipleship asks whether we follow Him for comfort or commit to Him as Lord, even when His ways differ from our expectations. Jesus wept over those who missed their moment of visitation, reminding us not to overlook what God is doing simply because it doesn’t look the way we imagined. He is King whether we fully understand Him or not, and the call is to follow Him faithfully, not just in moments of praise, but in surrender and truth.

Honor begins with seeing people the way God sees them and treating what He has made holy with value, humility, and reverence. Scripture makes it clear that where there is dishonor, hearts become hardened and the ability to receive from God is hindered, not because His power is lacking, but because faith is not expressed through action. God promises that those who honor Him will be honored, revealing that honor functions as a Kingdom principle that positions us to receive what He has already prepared. True honor is not only spoken but lived out through our words, our obedience, and our giving, reflecting a heart that is submitted to God and aligned with His ways. Humility produces honor, while pride opens the door to destruction, so choosing honor becomes a spiritual weapon against rebellion and self-centeredness. When honor is practiced consistently, toward God, His people, and His established order, it becomes a testimony of His
goodness and creates room for breakthrough in every area of life.

Trained To See Good | Pastor Mike Cornell | Oceans Unite Okeechobee Campus
Sunday Mar 15, 2026
Sunday Mar 15, 2026
God calls His people to train their eyes to see what is good, because those who diligently seek good find favor and grace. Jesus taught that the eye is the lamp of the body, and when our focus is clear and centered on God, our whole life is filled with light. Instead of being shaped by a culture that looks for the worst, we choose to look for evidence of God’s presence and the good work He is doing even in difficult moments. Faith grows when we define situations the way God defines them, trusting His promises and His purposes rather than our limited perspective. A grateful heart guards us from bitterness and keeps us aligned with the Father, remembering that everything we have comes from Him. So we commit to cultivate eyes of gratitude, giving thanks in every circumstance and choosing to walk in the light of God’s truth.

When Wells Flow Again | Pastor Mike Cornell | Oceans Unite Okeechobee Campus
Sunday Mar 08, 2026
Sunday Mar 08, 2026
We declare that the wells of the Spirit are being uncovered again in the hearts of God’s people, for Jesus promised that whoever drinks of the water He gives will have a fountain springing up into everlasting life. Where the enemy has tried to stop the flow, the Lord is calling His people to dig again, to return to the places of prayer, obedience, and faith where living water flows. Just as Isaac reopened the wells that had been blocked, believers are called to reclaim what God has given and refuse to let spiritual inheritance be buried by complacency or opposition. The Lord still provides water in dry places, sustaining His people even when circumstances appear barren. Scripture reminds us that with joy we draw from the wells of salvation, a source that continually strengthens and refreshes those who seek Him. This is a call to go deeper, because the counsel of the Lord is like deep water, and those who pursue understanding will draw it out. May faith rise again so that our confidence is not in human wisdom, but in the power of God working through lives surrendered to Him.

Jesus taught us to pray, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:9–13), reminding us that we live in the reality of a spiritual battle between the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness. Scripture makes clear that hell is real (Revelation 20:10,15), and while it was not created for mankind, the enemy seeks to deceive and destroy, so proclaiming this truth is an act of love. The Kingdom of God is revealed wherever His will is done: when demons are cast out by the Spirit of God, the sick are healed, children are welcomed to Jesus, and believers endure rejection for His name’s sake. Jesus said the kingdom does not come by observation alone, for “the kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:20–21), calling us to live by revelation and obedience.
We are urged to move beyond spiritual infancy and press on to maturity (Hebrews 6:1–3), because mature believers stand firm and faithfully advance the gospel. As we submit to Christ and walk in His Word, we participate in His redemptive work on the earth, trusting that the kingdom, the power, and the glory belong to Him forever.

Even God’s anointed can experience “cave seasons,” moments where life feels lonely, heavy, and filled with unanswered questions—just like David in the cave of Adullam. In Psalm 13, David honestly pours out his pain, asking the Lord how long the struggle will last and why it feels like He is silent. Yet the truth remains: David was not abandoned, even though he felt abandoned. In seasons of hardship, there are only two responses—to run to God or to run from Him. David’s turning point came when he cried out in prayer and chose to trust in God’s mercy rather than be ruled by fear, sorrow, or emotion. He anchored himself in what he knew to be true about God’s faithfulness instead of what he felt in the moment. No matter how dark the season may seem, the Lord does not forget His people, and choosing faith in the cave positions us to endure and stand firm in His promises.
